The Thurrock Recovery College started in 2016 as part of Inclusion being successful in winning the tender to provide Improving Access Psychological Services (IAPT) and an all new Recovery College for Thurrock. Commissioning a Recovery College in this way was bold and innovative and it is fair to say that aligning a Recovery College within IAPT service was pioneering and the first three years have been fast paced and involved much learning. Invaluable in developing the Recovery College has been our partnership with Thurrock Mind.
Inclusion are proud to provide a Recovery College in Thurrock and are incredibly thankful to the efforts of all those involved locally in Thurrock who have created what is now in place. Special thanks goes to the Volunteers and Peer Trainers who have made significant contribution to the college aswell as colleagues employed in the Recovery College and IAPT service who have managed and led the development of the service.
The Recovery College is about providing educational courses across Thurrock and information that will help us to learn what gives us the best chance of staying well and living the most fulfilling lives we can.
