Inclusion has provided the fully integrated mental health and substance use service in the Staffordshire prisons since April 2016. We were the incumbent provider of secondary mental health care treatment in the Staffordshire prisons for several years prior. The integrated model brings together the staff responsible for delivering these core elements of the service into one truly integrated team, with one caseload and one single point of access.
Inclusion has many years experience of providing services within prison environments and has listened to and responded to feedback with the design of the service model within each of the prisons within Staffordshire.
We have worked to bring together elements of delivery to enhance the service user experience and increase effectiveness of supporting them to move forward.
Based on a stepped-care-model approach, we ensure that our service users are given the right levels of interventions to meet their needs, with an understanding that one size does not fit all. Our integrated teams consist of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team including psychosocial substance misuse professionals, registered mental health nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and administrators.
